A new company is coming to St. Marys as city council unanimously approved the sale of a 17-acre undeveloped parcel of land in the St. Marys Airport Industrial Park to a company at a cost of $108,000.
City Manager Dave Greene did not divulge the name of the company at the council work session Monday evening, however he said the company is willing to develop the land and create new jobs for the area.
The parcel was originally appraised in 2005 at $3,000/acre and is now up to $6,000/acre.
A 50-foot right-of-way road is included in the parcel. The company will have to install its own utilities which are on Aviation Way, but do not extend into the parcel.
