QUEHANNA – Jim Scharnitz of Northampton got to have the experience of a lifetime on Monday morning as he successfully harvested a 7x6 bull elk while hunting with his father and guides from Elk County Outfitters.
The 25-year-old explained that he has applied for the drawing most years but not every year, and found out that he was one of the 26 hunters drawn for an antlered tag after a guide called him to let him know he had been selected.
