During a work session of the Ridgway Area School Board of Directors held Tuesday evening, RASD superintendent Dr. Michael O'Brien announced his resignation from the position, effective Aug. 8 of this year.
O'Brien has reportedly been offered a position in another district, although the name of the district is yet to be announced.
"I've been offered another superintendency and have accepted the superintendency although it's not official until the board accepts it," O'Brien said.
