Olga D. Simbeck

Olga D. Simbeck, 96, of Apple Street, Weedville, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 19, 1918 in Caledonia, daughter of Angelo and Giovanna (Trojan) Dezanet. On Nov. 4, 1961, she married John "Jack" Simbeck, who survives.
She lived all her life in Bennetts Valley. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of Force and Bennetts Valley American Legion Auxiliary. She retired from Sylvania in Emporium and St. Marys after 44 years of service.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one sister, Alvera Dezanet of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Amelia Bonfardine, Gilda Dezanet and Ethel Dezanet; and two brothers, Victor Dezanet and Orlando Dezanet.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Olga D. Simbeck will be celebrated Monday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force with Father Thomas Tyler as celebrant.
There will be no visitation.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Elk Haven Nursing Home.
The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield is entrusted with arrangements.
