Ordiway appointed vacancy board chairman

In a effort to fill the vacant City Council seat, Council unanimously approved the appointment of Bob Ordiway as the vacancy board chairperson during their Monday evening meeting.
If Council is unable to make a decision within 30 days on whom to appoint to the seat, the decision then rests with the vacancy board, compiled of seven individuals consisting of the current six council members and Ordiway.
City Manager Dave Greene stated council will likely not make a decision within the 30 days; then the decision must be made by the vacancy board.
