"Our Town: St. Marys" to debut on big screen

Photo submitted Twenty volunteers from St. Marys staffed the phone bank taking a record setting amount of donations during the June 6 airing of WPSU's "Our Town: St. Marys." The show is set to play on Sunday at the Apollo Theatre at 3 p.m.

Those who missed the initial airing of WPSU's "Our Town: St. Marys" can catch it on the big screen on Sunday afternoon at the Apollo Theatre in downtown St. Marys. The special one-hour long encore showing is set for 3 p.m. The "Our Town: St. Marys" episode proved to be a successful event, not only in the response from viewers phoning in pledges, but also from the responses via social media, specifically Facebook and Twitter.
The evening of the live broadcast, the show brought in just shy of $30,000 in pledges with an additional $17,900 which was contributed by local businesses, referred to as underwriters.
