Pauline E. Bowers

Pauline E. Bowers, 54, of 8 Gillouly Ave., Ridgway, died unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.
She was born March 30, 1957 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Ralph and Janet Johnson Amacher. On August 7, 1976, she married Richard “Bill” Bowers, who survives.
Mrs. Bowers was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ and the Women of the Moose. She had been employed at the Ridgway Eagles and the Ridgway Moose. She enjoyed crocheting and she was an assistant soccer coach at Ridgway Area High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Katie Benson (Paul) of Ridgway, Billy Bowers (Melissa Cornwall) of Pottstown, and Charlie Bowers of Ridgway; six grandchildren, Skylar Bowers, Ralph Benson, Faith Bowers, Samantha Cornwall, Alexis Cornwall, and Natasha Cornwall; a sister, Barbara Amacher of Ridgway; a brother, Henry Amacher (Chris) of Ridgway; and by a niece, Amy Klawuhn.
Funeral services for Pauline E. Bowers will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald Burkett, pastor of the Hallton Church. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday for two hours prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.
