Pauline H. Fritz

Pauline H. Fritz, 87, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at the Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born July 24, 1924 in St. Marys, daughter of the late John A. C. and A. Bertha Weinzierl Herzing. On Sept. 5, 1949, in the St. Mary’s Church, she married Harold J. “Hal” Fritz, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1996.
Mrs. Fritz was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1941. She had worked in the family business, Hal Fritz Piano Company, for many years. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, a 50-year member of the C.D. of A., a member of the Golden Grads and she enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula Fritz Eddy (Richard) of St. Marys and Pamela O’Leary (Rob) of St. Marys; and one son, Fred Fritz (Marie) of St. Marys. She is also survived by six grandchildren, John Fritz, Luke Fritz, Charlie O’Leary, Madelyn O’Leary, Connor O’Leary, and Monica Eddy; a step-granddaughter, Robin Bolte; and two step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Hyacinth “Hy” Dauer of St. Marys and Bernice Lecker of St. Marys; and one brother, Kenneth M. Herzing (Mary Lou) of St. Marys; and by two sisters-in-law, Virginia Herzing of St. Marys and Loretta Herzing of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Fritz, who died on April 30, 2003. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Scholastica “Sis” Weidenboerner, Valerie Lambert, Audrey Skiba, and Faith Holben; and by two brothers; Aurelius J. Herzing and John G. Herzing.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Pauline H. Fritz will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at noon, with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
