Pearle A. Meredith

Pearle A. Meredith, 94, of 1274 Montmorenci Rd., died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Charles and Selma Nelson Holm. On June 22, 1945, she married Glenn R. Meredith who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1995.
Mrs. Meredith was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 94 years. She was a member of the choir, the women's group WELCA and other special interest groups. She was a member of the Grove City White Shrine and the Ridgway Eastern Star. She had been employed by the Elliot Company, Ridgway Home Telephone Company, and was a teller at the former National City Bank.
Mrs. Meredith is survived by a sister-in-law, Kathryn Frantz of Ridgway and by nieces and nephews: Shirley (Ed) Vallimont Biank, Karen Vallimont, Carol (Anthony) Ferraro, Fred (B.J.) Matheson, Donna Matheson, Gary (Sue) Matheson, and Wayne (Barbara) Matheson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Meredith family, as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew her lovingly called her Aunt Pearle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Arthur Holm, Ethel Matheson, Jennie Vallimont and Carl Holm.
Funeral services for Pearle A. Meredith will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Erik Hart, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service. Memorial donations can be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Flowers/Property Funds, 212 Cook St., Ridgway, Pa. 15853.
