Persnickety and SMP partner for breast cancer fundraising

October 16, 2013

Photo by Jim Meyer Rebajean Stone, owner of Persnickety Gift Boutique, is shown with a display of items being sold to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month. This fund raising event is a collaboration between Persnickety Gift Boutique and St. Marys Pharmacy.

Shoppers who stroll down Erie Avenue may notice something new in town. What was once The Variety Shop is now under new management as The Persnickety Gift Boutique. Rebajean Stone was a Variety Shop vendor and now owns Persnickety.
“I came here as a vendor last November, and in August I took it over to run it myself,” Stone said. “Partially because I am disabled, I thought this would be a chance that I could get out and actually do something. I’ve got wonderful women who work here and help keep this place going, and it’s working.”
