Personal loss plays role in creation of playground

Olsson is granddaughter to St. Marys Area School District Superintendent Ann Kearney who at Monday's meeting of the board discussed an added step being taken to ensure student safety in and around roads and highways near to its school buildings.

ST. MARYS - The St. Marys Area School District's Board of Directors approved at Monday's meeting the $80,000 purchase of property adjacent to the South St. Marys Street Elementary School, to be used in the creation of a new playground area for students and parking lot for employees.
