RIDGWAY – A new, $6 million senior housing complex is in the works for Ridgway, funded in large part by a federal tax credit designed to offset the diminishing effects of Marcellus Shale activity on affordable housing statewide. With Pittsburgh-based real estate development company TREK behind the venture, Project Manager Trey Barbour announced during Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Board of Commissioners his company's plans to begin construction by year's end, with the undertaking expected to last between 10 and 12 months.
