Phyllis M. Kerr

Phyllis M. Kerr, 86, of 509 Woodland Ave., Johnsonburg, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Mullen Haser.
She married John L. Kerr on June 21, 1947 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. He died on Oct. 1, 1998.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1942.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She was employed by Market Basket Grocery Store, retiring in 1986. She had also worked at Stackpole Carbon Co., Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital and Brockway Glass.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverly, Mrs. Jerome Fritz of Johnsonburg; one son, Larry Kerr and his wife Joan of Blandon; four grandchildren, Travis and Kelly Fritz and Stacie and Nathan Kerr; and one great-granddaughter, Makala Fritz.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Eileen Bianc and Julia Evers.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis M. Kerr will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be at the Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
