On Friday, May 4, the students and staff of Fox Township Elementary School held their wrap-up celebration for their participation in “The Great Lemonade War.” During the lemonade war event, schools across the country competed to raise the most funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Fox Twp. Elementary School came in third place in the contest and raised an amazing $5,107 to benefit pediatric cancer research. For their third place finish, the school will be receiving a Skype visit from Jacqueline Davies, author of "The Lemonade War". As part of their fundraising efforts, students also had the opportunity to vote for teachers to receive a pie-in-the-face by placing money in the teacher’s container. The students and staff had a enjoyable time on Friday finding out who won the “prize” of a pie-in-the-face. Pictured are Mrs. Grecco awaiting her “prize” from Owen Tamburlin-Lang, left, and Mrs. J. Fox after being “pied” by Adian Bobik.
