ST. MARYS - Pip, the talented 19-year-old Georgia native with local ties, beat out his friend Nathan Parrett last night on 'The Voice' to advance to the live rounds of the show which will start in April.
Pip is the son of St. Marys native Jim Arnold and still has a number of family members living in the area. His aunt, Laura Claypool, organized a viewing party at ChinAmerica Palace in St. Marys on Monday evening to watch Pip's battle episode. She and a gathering of Pip supporters all nervously watched to see which of the singers their coach Adam Levine would choose to advance in the competition.
