Preliminary hearing held for kidnapping suspect

May 14, 2014

JOHNSONBURG – Magisterial District Judge George "Tony" King presided over a preliminary hearing Wednesday for a Reading man charged in a Ridgway kidnapping and false imprisonment.
Dayon Deche McCracken, 23, of Reading is alleged to have held Rachel Imdorf at gunpoint inside an apartment after finding her asleep in his girlfriend's van on the morning of April 27. McCracken was held for court as King ruled that the Commonwealth had met their burden in establishing that there is enough evidence to proceed to trial. Formal arraignment before President Judge Richard Masson at Elk County Courthouse is scheduled for May 30 at 3 p.m.
