Priscilla A. (Teddy) Sterbank

Priscilla A. (Teddy) Sterbank, 97, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Cedar Road, Kersey, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 20, 1915, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Stockman Rigard. On April 25, 1937, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married John J. Sterbank, who preceded her in death on April 29, 1992.
Mrs. Sterbank was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart School. She was a former employee of Sylvania in St. Marys.
She was a member of the Queen of the World Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the C.D. of A., and a member of Queen of the World Rosary Society; was an avid bowler; was always was willing to help others; and especially enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Kuntz and her husband Edward H. of St. Marys and Catherine Wendel and her husband Richard A. of McKees Rocks; three sons, John D. Sterbank and his wife Veronica of Kersey, Daniel J. Sterbank and his wife Jane of Kersey, and Joseph B. Sterbank and his wife Mary Pat of Syracuse, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Moriarity, Valerie Sulkowski, and Eileen Wortman; and by three brothers, her twin brother Cletus Rigard, Gervase Rigard, and Melvin Rigard. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Priscilla A. Sterbank will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, March 1 from 5-8 p.m.
