PSP Fire Marshal determines arson cause of two St. Marys fires

ST. MARYS - The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, St. Marys City Police Department and the Crystal Fire Department report investigating the origin and cause
of a fire that occurred at 11:32 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the residence of Michael Scolari, 333 N. St. Marys St., St. Marys. The fire destroyed a 1999 Coleman camping trailer parked in the driveway of the residence. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson and remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $6,000. There were no injuries.
The PSP Fire Marshal, SMPD and CFD also report investigating the origin and cause of a fire that occurred at 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 141 Rettger St., St. Marys. According to reports, the fire damaged a 1993 Ford Tempo sedan owned by Marcia Salter of St. Marys that was parked in the driveway of the residence. No estimate regarding the damage to the sedan was available. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson and continues to be under investigation. There were no injuries.
