With the first round of the Pennsylvania School System Assessment exams (PSSAs) to begin next week, Superintendent Ann Kearney at Thursday's workshop meeting of the St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors discussed what the district has done to do prepare students for the exams, as well as what parents can do come test time.
"We ask parents to make sure their children get a good night's sleep, a good breakfast and are here in school...it is so important for them to be here on the day of the assessment," Kearney said.
