Born Feb. 20, 1935, in Brady Township, Clearfield County, he was the son of the late Pirl and Ella (Bailor) Dush.
On August 7, 1960, he married Dorothy (Jean) McCracken at the Richardsville Baptist Church.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, rarely missing any of their many high school or college sporting events. He and wife Jean traveled the country and the world making sure they were there for all the important moments of their children and grandchildren’s lives. They visited England for the birth of a grandchild, Florida to watch baseball games, and New Mexico and Texas for the graduation of children and grandchildren from their military endeavors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Cris E. Dush and wife Traci, Rick L. Dush and friend Tracy, Cindy R. Hays and husband Jack, and Diane R. Buck and husband Dave; six grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Kirk, Garrett, Bryan, Jamie, Zack and Kirsten; one granddaughter-in-law, Jettie; and a sister, Jan Solada (Sheridan).
