RDA requests return of allocation

March 8, 2012

Money received from a fire escrow on the Dimitri building, owned by Floyd Howell, was returned to the Redevelopment Authority (RDA) after it was not utilized in the demolition of the building, stated City Manager Dave Greene during Monday's City Council meeting.
Greene explained the city was recently informed by its auditors that because the city used Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) money on the project, any money that came from the project can be considered program income.
