RDA still waiting for Yoder to sign off on projects

The St. Marys Redevelopment Authority (RDA) is still waiting for developer Bob Yoder to sign off on a number of upcoming projects, according to authority member Warren Stewart.

The St. Marys Redevelopment Authority (RDA) is still waiting for developer Bob Yoder to sign off on a number of upcoming projects, according to authority member Warren Stewart.
Stewart addressed members of city council earlier this week regarding the matter.
"We had sent your developer letters on six properties. We haven't heard a response back," Stewart said.
At a previous council meeting, City Manager Dave Greene had explained that several years ago the city entered into a developer's agreement with Yoder and a stipulation of this agreement is that Yoder must sign off on any projects undertaken by the RDA within the redevelopment district.
Stewart indicated that he was hoping council could help speed the process along so that work could begin soon.

Mr. Stewart is absolutely right, as the Bald Eagle would say. City Council needs to put Mr. Yoder under a microscope and take a good look at him. And, when a volunteer citizen like Warren Stewart steps up to the plate and asks for Council's help, all seven should jump on board and do whatever they can to appease him and the RDA. As for Yoder's projects, as the parking garage nears completion, I am still hard pressed to find one person in favor of that project. Not one who thinks it was a good idea!!!
