Recipients of Eagle Scout Award

ST. MARYS - Recently, four members of Boy Scout Troop 95, sponsored by the Sacred Heart Church, were awarded the Eagle Scout badge, scouting’s highest rank. The boys who
received the Eagle award are: Benjamin Daghir, Luke Daghir, Samuel Schneider, and Jared Schaut.
Ben is the son of Joseph and Roben Daghir. He is a senior at Elk County Catholic High School, where he has been a member of the baseball, basketball, and football teams. He is also a member of the Outdoor Club and Campus Ministry.
He is a Eucharistic minister. Upon graduation, he plans on attending Saint Vincent College, where he will major in Education.
Luke is the son of Joseph and Roben Daghir. He is a senior at Elk County Catholic High School School, where he has been a member of the baseball and basketball teams. He is also a member of the Outdoor Club, Campus Ministry and Leaders in Training. He is a Eucharistic minister. Upon graduation, he plans on attending Saint Vincent College, where he will major in Education.
Sam is the son of Christopher and Christine Schneider. He is a senior at Elk County Catholic High School, where he has been a member of the football and baseball teams. He was a captain of the 2010 varsity football team. Sam was the recipient of the 2010 Bill Gapinski Award in football. He is also a Eucharistic minister. Sam is an altar server at St. Mary's Church. Upon graduation, he plans on attending the University of Pittsburgh, main campus, where he will major in Actuarial Mathematics.
Jared is the son of Jeff and Susan Schaut. He is a senior at Elk County Catholic High School, where he has been a member of the soccer and track and field teams. He has also participated in SADD and the Drama Club. He is a Eucharistic minister at ECCHS. Upon graduation, he plans on attending the California University of Pennsylvania on an academic scholarship, where he will major in Business. Jared plans on running track in college.
