Recycling center dealing with increase in waste

RIDGWAY – The amount of recyclables coming into the community recycling center in St. Marys is increasing quickly according to members of the Elk County Solid Waste Authority.
"It's been ungodly busy over there," said recycling and solid waste coordinator Bekki Titchner. "It just doesn't quit anymore."
Saturday will be the center's monthly electronics collection which will be held at the community recycling center in the Stackpole complex from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"I think hopefully we're out of the spring rush for electronics," Titchner said. "We've gotten them from everywhere including Cameron and McKean counties."
