Relay for Life schedule of events

The 2011 Relay for Life of Elk County is offering a wide variety of activities and entertainment, all of which are open to the public. The event begins today at the Fox Township Community Park in Kersey and runs until tomorrow at noon.
In an effort to keep walkers on their feet, Mike Scolari is providing music as the DJ throughout the two days.
The Friday Niters polka band will kick off the relay from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The band "By The Jordan" will perform from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by singer Todd Anderson from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Comedian and St. Marys native Bubba Bradley will take the stage from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The M.S. Relay Contest will be held from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. "Elvis," otherwise known as Scott Allegretto, will perform from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. followed by Six Pak from 9:30 to 11 p.m. The band "Fading Light" is also slated to perform from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. On Saturday, morning "Only by Grace" is performing from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by Bob and Friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The closing ceremony and drawings will take place from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
