Those staked out at the auction were shielded from the wind by the buildings along Court Street as Chuck Eckert, an auctioneer from Buffalo, N.Y., flew through the auction in just under four hours.
"I'm tired and we had a cold week but that was the first time in eight years that we had a sunny sky for the auction," said Liz Boni, one of the organizers for the event. "We also had a great auctioneer who kept the auction moving along, and I think it was the shortest auction we ever had just because he was such a good auctioneer."
