Report of abduction proven 'unfounded'

Editor's Note: This article is an update to the one which appeared in the Thursday, Jan. 17 edition. Information was received from police that an attempted abduction at St. Marys Area High School earlier in the evening had not occurred, but the report came after the paper had already gone to print.

ST. MARYS - City of St. Marys Police Chief Todd Caltagarone said that reports of an attempted abduction of a juvenile female by masked men outside St. Marys Area High School Wednesday evening were "proven to be unfounded."
