Residents question appointment process and appointees in Jay Twp.

In Tuesday night's Jay Township reorganizational meeting, the appointments of John Schneider and Victoria Burlingame to the water authority by township supervisors caused some residents in attendance to question the appointment process and the supervisors in their decision.
Applicants for the two vacancies within the the water authority board included Maria Pirazzi, Wendy Bonanno, Martin Rosenfeld, John Schneider, and Victoria Burlingame.
The vacancies originated with Jim Huff and Fran Gustafson withdrawing their names from consideration.
"Not that I'm not going to go to meetings to help and see what I can do, I'll always do what I can do but with that many people trying to get on...I think it's best that I sit on the other side and do what I can," Gustafson said.
John Schneider and Victoria Burlingame were ultimately appointed to fill the two vacancies within the water authority board in a unanimous vote undertaken by the Board of Supervisors.
