Residents share memories of Kennedy's assassination

November 22, 2013

Friday, Nov. 22, 1963 started off as a normal day for many area residents.
Ray Beimel and Deanna Young were both in class. Beimel attended St. Marys Parochial and Young was a fifth grader at Queen of the World. Mary Meyer, a junior at ECC, was home sick that day.
Further from St. Marys, Lois Keller-Poole was in class at Dunblane Hall, a Catholic school for girls in Washington, D.C., where she was in the eighth grade.
All four shared with The Daily Press how that seemingly ordinary day turned into one that would remain ingrained in their memories 50 years later.
