Richard "Dick" Carr

Richard "Dick" Carr, 62, of 124 Siecker Rd, St. Marys, died early Sunday morning, April 10, 2011, surrounded by his family following an incredible battle with leukemia.
He was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Ridley Park, Philadelphia, son of the late William and Dorothy Detweiler Carr. He became a lifelong resident of St. Marys.
On July 24, 1970, he married Margaret Weisner Carr. Together they had three children, an amazing, loving marriage, and countless laughs and fun times with family and friends.
Aside from enjoying wonderful times with his family, Carr was a member of the National Guard from 1968-1974. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and really loved spending time at his camp with his family and dog. He was a member of the St. Marys Sportsmen's Club, and since 1978 the Morgan AM&T Trap and Skeet team. He was previously employed as a machinist at SGL Carbon, LLC in St. Marys.
Besides his wife, Margy, he is surived by two sons, Richard Jr. and his companion, Cheryl Cheatle of St. Marys, and Alan Carr of Ridgway; and a daughter, Kelly Carr of St. Marys and her companion, Eric Benson of Brockway.
Visitation and services for Richard "Dick" Carr will be at Lynch Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., with services to follow at 11 a.m., officiated by DuBois Regional Medical Center Chaplain, the Rev. David R. Nagele. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Detail.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's cemetery.
In lieu of donations, Carr would like everyone to perform random acts of kindness for others.
