Rita M. Anzinger

Rita M. Anzinger, 93, a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois and formerly of 219 Wendel Rd., St. Marys, died on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Christ the King Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 9, 1919 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Schneider Leithner.
On June 8, 1936, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Wilfred E. Anzinger, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1989.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School.
She was a former employee of Surburban Builders and the Elk Candy Co. She was a member of the Queen of the World Church and volunteered at the Queen of the World School cafeteria.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Thomas Anzinger (Brenda), Laura Evers (Carl), Cindy Smith, and Julie Hanes; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Josephine "Josie" Hanes of St. Marys.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Haberberger, in 1980; a son, Wilfred Anzinger in 2007; two sisters, Margaret Schaut and Marie Daniels; and by a brother, Joseph Leithner.
Family and friends of Rita M. Anzinger are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
