Rita V. Weaver

Rita V. Weaver, 70, of Blacksburg, Va., died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. 
She was born in St. Marys, Pa., on Feb. 21, 1942 to the late Edward L. and Margaret Herbst Vollmer. Her life theme was to give a little kindness. She is survived by her husband, David Weaver of Blacksburg, Va.; a daughter, Sarah Margaret Weaver of Blacksburg, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Helen Weaver; grandsons Bryce, Cameron and Henry Parker of Richmond, Va.; a son, Mark Edward Weaver of Blacksburg, Va.; a sister, Patricia Stebich of St. Marys; and special dogs, Dakota and McKenzie. 
A funeral Mass for Rita V. Weaver will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the St. Marys Catholic Church, with Father Richard Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, Va. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of  Assisi, P.O. Box 19538, Roanoke, VA  24019; Defender of Wildlife, 1130 17th St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20036; or SPCA, 1183 Flanagan Dr., Christiansburg, VA 24073. 
Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, VA 24060.
