Robert E. Hedberg, 73, of 459 Main St.., Kersey, died suddenly on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his home.
He was born on March 19, 1941, a son of the late John and Evadna Ninnis Hedberg.
Bob was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Boniface Church. He retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after many years of service. He was a member of the Fox Township Fire Department and the Dagus Mines Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Linda Krise of Kersey; nieces and nephews Justine "Dusty", Mrs. David Dollinger, of Kersey, Mark (Jolene) Krise of Ridgway, Kelly, Mrs. Tim Schaefer, Colo., Ronald (Stacey) Krise of Kersey and Shelly, Mrs. John Ehlert of Florida; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald "Buddy" Hedberg.
A memorial service for Robert E. Hedberg will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys with Rev. James Faluszczak, officiating.
A gathering with the family will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
