Roger A. "Bucky" Taylor

Roger A. “Bucky” Taylor, 59, of 222 Lawrence Street, St. Marys, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born July 29, 1952 in St. Marys, son of the late Kenneth Taylor and Anna Kematick Taylor of St. Marys, who survives. On October 5, 2002, in the St. Boniface Church, he married Cindy Rigard, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area, was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1970, and graduated from Jeff Tech in 1988. He was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Co. and Metaldyne.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters, April Challingsworth of Texas, Lisa Challingsworth of St. Marys, Mary Challingsworth of St. Marys and Merissa Johnston of St. Marys; one son, Shawn Taylor of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Jayna and Sophia Sette, Madison Taylor, and Kaden and Wyatt Willis; and two brothers, Michael Taylor and Glenn Taylor, both of St. Marys.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the CMF, the PFL, and the American Legion.
Family and friends of Roger A. "Bucky" Taylor are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania, 11676 Perry Hwy., Suite 2104, Wexford, PA 15090.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
