Ronald E. Dixon

Ronald E. Dixon, 60, of Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Oct. 21.
He was born Sept. 20, 1953, the son of Eugene and Virginia Dixon. He was married to JoAnne Dixon on Sept. 1, 1984.
He graduated from Brockway High School, class of 1971. He worked for many years at the ink plant. Ron was a member of the Ridgway VFW, Elks, Eagles and American Legion. He was an active member of the Ridgway Military Honor Detail. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed football, camping and social gatherings. Ron loved his daughters and grandchildren. He was loved by and will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Nikki Dixon and Rebecca Dixon of DuBois; two stepdaughters, Sheri Beck (Aaron) of Texas, Billie Jo Trimble (Chris) of DuBois; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Dixon of Seveirville, Tenn.; and by an uncle, Guy Dixon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
