Ronald J. Salvetto

Ronald J. Salvetto, 56, formerly of 566 Rock St., Ridgway, died Saturday morning, July 9, 2011, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 15, 1955 in DuBois, son of Pauline A. Salvetto and the late James J. Salvetto.
He had resided in Ridgway for many years and was a former Erie resident. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1973, and had attended Penn State. He had been employed by the Gertrude Barber Center in Erie for 10 years and Hamot Medical Center in Erie for 14 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Donna Salvetto Richardson of St. Marys; two nephews, Richard and Corey; a great-nephew, Caleb; and a great-niece, Lindsey.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal for Ronald J. Salvetto will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m., with Fr. Brian E. Vossler, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Leo School or to the Ridgway Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
