Rosemary E. Girty

Rosemary E. Girty, 80, formerly of 110 W. Condot Road and Elk Towers, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the home of her daughter following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 13, 1930 in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Charlotte E. Wolfe Eckl.
Rosemary was a member of St. Agnes Church of St. Marys, where she was past president of the St. Agnes Guild. She retired from Pure Carbon, where she had worked for more than nine years. She loved camping and outdoor sports, including fishing and hunting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and recently welcomed her great-great-granddaughter, who was named Summer Rose in her honor. 
She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte, Mrs. Wayne Gerber of Aurora, Ill., and Carol, Mrs. Harry Smith Jr. of Weedville; seven   grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Tegano; a brother, Jerome "Joe" Eckl; and her longtime companion, Claude Walters.
Funeral services for Rosemary E. Girty will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial will be in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
