Ruth A. Bartoletti, 92, of River Road, Caledonia, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at DRMC West following a short illness.
She was born Aug. 28, 1918 in Penfield, daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth E. (Sexton) Spencer.
She married Charles M. Bartoletti on Oct. 2, 1937, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1991.
She was a lifelong resident of Bennetts Valley and a graduate of Benezette High School. She spent her life as a housewife. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Force and the Church Rosary/Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, reading and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Charles and his wife Sandy Bartoletti of Clifton Park, N.Y. and Betty Ann and her husband Gary Forsyth of Franklin; five grandchildren, David, Jeffrey and Michael Bartoletti, Deidre Rothgeb and Lori McCandless; seven great-grandchildren, Griffin, Delaney, Jenna, Ryan, Charlie, Kate and Allie; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Giovanini.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth A. Bartoletti will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Force, with Fr. Thomas Tyler celebrating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Force.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Bennetts Valley Ambulance.
