Ruth Caroline Fritz, 95, formerly of Washington Street, Elk Haven Nursing Home and 589 S. St. Marys St., died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the home of Mary Beth and John Zelt.
She was born Feb. 14, 1916 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Eberle Fritz.
She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated in 1934 from Central High School. She was a retired employee of G. C. Murphy Company.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Jackie Hall, Dennis and Harriet Snyder, Mary Beth and John Zelt, Carol Ann and Glen Cook, Jerome and Beverly Fritz, and Gretchen and Dale Mooney. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ruth L. "Peg" Fritz and Virginia Daniel.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Stella (Sister Dolorosa, OSB), Lucy Snyder, Alice Fritz and Rosemary Fritz; three brothers, Donald A. Fritz, Jerome J. Fritz, and Richard A. Fritz; and a nephew, Michael J. Fritz.
Relatives and friends of Ruth Caroline Fritz are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
