Sally “Marcella” Wheaton

Sally “Marcella” Wheaton, 60, of 3600 Festor Dr., Hermitage, died at her residence on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 after an extended illness.
She was born in St. Marys, daughter of the late Gilbert J. Krug and Martha (Detsch) Krug.  She married Dale Wheaton on Aug. 17, 1951, and he survives.  
Sally worked as a physician’s assistant with Sharon Regional Health Services and she attended St. John’s Episcopal Church. She loved crafting, especially needlepoint, and she also enjoyed golfing with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law:  Marlene and Gerald Trambley of Erie, Joan and James Snelick of St. Marys, and Catherine and Michael Gutowski and Bonnie Krug, all of Mercer.
A funeral service for Sally "Marcella" Wheaton will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 226 West State St., Sharon, with the Rev. Adam T. Trambley officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Memorial contributions can be made in Sally’s name to either Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148; or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
