State Sen. President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Brockway)

State Sen. President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati, R-Brockway, recently shared some of his legislative priorities for 2012.
"My legislative priorities fall on many different fronts," Scarnati said. "Currently, it is vital that we find the appropriate impact fee on Marcellus Shale drillers to ensure we are not only protecting our communities, but improving our economy as well.
"In addition, my priorities have been and will continue to be working with our job creators to provide family-sustaining employment opportunities to this region of the Commonwealth. Also, I will continue to encourage other members of the General Assembly and the administration on the importance of a fiscally conservative budget that meets the needs of working families across Pennsylvania."
The Legislature begins work on the budget following Gen. Tom Corbett's budget address Tuesday. Scarnati said fiscal restraint is imperative in enacting a budget for Pennsylvania.
