School board approves new football coach, hotel project

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors approved an array of items during their Monday evening meeting, of which was the hiring of Anthony Defilippi as the head variety football coach for the 2014-15 school year at a cost of $4,402. Defilippi has held the position in the past.
Also approved was a LERTA application from Creekside Hospitality, LLC located at 1215 Million Dollar Hwy. in Kersey for the construction of a 65-room hotel and parking lot to be located along Depot Street in downtown St. Marys. Todd Hanes was listed as the applicant.
