The Schutz Family Benefit is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at the St. Marys Moose along Depot Street in St. Marys. The event will feature a spaghetti dinner for $6.50, eat-in or carryout. Delivery to businesses is available by calling 594-3688. All proceeds will go to the Taylor Schutz family. There will also be a bake sale and a Chinese Auction. Big ticket items for Saturday include a Joe Beimel jersey and an Ipod Touch. Visit the benefit on Facebook by searching for "Benefit for Taylor Schutz Family." Direct donations are accepted at CNB Bank, Ridgway c/o Taylor Schutz Fund. Winners of the NFL game of chance were drawn Friday, Aug. 28, by Ashlynn Schutz (above), sister of Taylor. Congratulations to Shawn Anders of Kersey on winning two tickets to the Oct. 7 Steelers vs. Eagles game; Chuck Novasel was the winner of the autographed Michael Vick/Eagles football; and Debbie and G.T. Belsole were the winners of the autographed Ben Roethlisberger football. The event is being organized by the Elk County Sheriff's office, the Elk County Prothonotary's office, and employees of the County of Elk.
