Sheriff's department under 'investigation'

RIDGWAY – County officials are reportedly filing right-to-know requests with various local police departments to track down the amount of hours worked by full-time and part-time Elk County Sheriff's deputies.
For years it has been common practice for full-time and part-time sheriff's deputies to also work for local police forces.
The requests, however, have caused grave concerns with the county's sheriff's department, mainly due to the negative implications that an investigation demands.
