Sheriff's office upgrades software

July 20, 2011

Officials working in the Elk County Sheriff's Office will soon have an easier time thanks to the addition of state-of-the-art software.
Commissioners signed an agreement Tuesday morning with Teleosoft, Inc. for improvements to the sheriff's office totaling $18,900.
"I extend my appreciation to the commissioners for the approval of this contract," said Elk County Sheriff Jeffrey C. Krieg. "We're replacing software in our office that is actually DOS-based, pretty much nearly 28 years old.
"It was getting to the point where we couldn't even function as far as our billing in our accounting services goes, so this will streamline things immensely."
