As part of Elk County Pink Day on Friday, students at St. Marys Area High School tried to see how much change they could collect in one minute to donate to breast cancer awareness during their activity period (AP).
The AP that collected the most change, which was determined by percentage, received a special invitation and gathering in the cafeteria during their AP that will include a complimentary coffee/tea and snacks.
Overall, the students raised $700 for breast cancer awareness; look what only a minute can do to change lives! The students in Mrs. Tripodi's AP raised $61.75, the top amount, and will enjoy their coffee/tea reward today. Mrs. Catalone's AP came in second and Mrs. Schmidt's AP raised the third highest amount.
