The St. Marys Area High School's Dutch Country Stadium track is several years overdue for new resurfacing according to Terry Straub, SMAHS director of student activities. The cost to resurface the track ranges from $63,000-$210,000 depending on the chosen option.
"It has been 16 years since it has been resurfaced with the general shelf life of this type being 10 to 12 [years], so we're already three to four [years] beyond the maximum shelf life," Straub said.
