The St. Marys Little League Softball Senior League All-Star team headed into Thursday evening's District 10 title game at Benzinger Park as the winners of the winner's bracket, needing only to defeat Elk County, a team they had already beaten once by a score of 12-2, to claim their third District 10 title in as many seasons. In the end, it turned out to be more challenging than many expected, as St. Marys had to overcome quite a bit of adversity to pull it off. However, the St. Marys squad was able to keep focused, erase a 2-1 deficit in the bottom of the final inning of regulation, and then cap their rally with a 3-2 walk off victory in the bottom of the eighth to claim the District 10 title.
