une was a time of transition for South Street Botanicals in Ridgway, something owner Brandy Raubenstrauch says was simply cosmetic.
“I like change a lot,” Raubenstrauch said. “This also gave us the opportunity to help us increase our retail space and separate the Tea House.”
The new layout features the gift shop in the garden conservatory where the Tea House was originally.
“We opened in our original layout in 2000 offering small gifts, home accents and cutting edge fresh floral designs in a restored Historical Victorian home,” Raubenstrauch said. “Now we have expanded our retail lines and we’ve rearranged things so foot traffic doesn’t go through the Tea House.”
South Street Botanicals includes a ladies and children’s boutique, a full-service florist specializing in modern designs, a Tea House offering fresh, made-from-scratch lunches including salad, soup, sandwiches and desserts, as well as catered special events, showers and meetings. The Tea House is now open weekly with no reservations needed.
“The Tea House is now open on a walk-in basis, three days a week for as quick or as long as they want,” Raubenstrauch said. “We will be having a chef join us and the menu will be changed weekly.”
The hours for the Tea House are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservation events will still be accepted, but are not required.
