St. Marys Area swim teams donate to Humane Society

February 7, 2012

Photo submitted - Pictured, from left, are St. Marys Area High School swim and dive team members Alette Kraknes, Ryan Struble, Mikayla O'Dwyer, and Alex Renwick with Romano, one of several dogs currently available for adoption at the Elk County Humane Society.

Members of the boys' and girls' swim and dive teams at the St. Marys Area High School are not only good in the water, but they are good at raising funds for organizations in need as well.
Swim team members held a collection at their first home meet of the season on Monday, Jan. 23 against Clearfield to obtain items for the Elk County Humane Society. Individuals who brought in items were eligible to receive a discount on the cost of admission to that evening's swim meet.
